Nice Starfire!  That will be a relatively easy resto.  Looks like all parts are there.

Dig the TXL. Would make a good racer for Yellowstone next year.  Sounds like there may be a new liquid class.
What is it with you and rusty old crap??         Mrs. Philh

I've been looking for a 1974 Roll-O-Flex Wild One F/A for a while. I just happened to see a picture posted on the net and it turned out that it was for sale.
I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and tucked it into the garage. It runs like a top. Planning to restore it this summer.

I took it out today after snowblowing the drive again after a good fall last night.....Take a look at the snow that we still have here in central Ontario....on March 22nd.

WOW - that Wild ONe is in awesome shape.  Everything there but the windshield?  What's with the yellow heads and cylinders?

And yes, you do still have plenty o' white stuff to still work with, don't you...

Thanks guys! I am pretty happy to have found this one.  ;D

elanss, everything is there with the exeption of the windshield, temp gauge and the rear grab handles. The seat cover has been redone but the foam is perfect. I have had some help from a couple of great guys on sending pictures of the original seat for a pattern.
I have the right temp gauge, a set of rear grab handles and a windshield. The track is like new....the sled has 638 miles on it.
The Wild One came with an extra set of skis that were supplied by the dealer when it was purchased new. The skis are different with the sides turned down and perfect.
I don't know if they were the skis that were intended to be sold on the white Roll-O-Flexs and maybe were not available when they went to dealers.....don't know.
The entire motor was sprayed yellow.....don't know the story there...I didn't ask. I am wondering the best way to strip it???

I am tossing between purchasing new glass for the restoration or getting the original repaired. If it were not for a hole saw the glass is pretty good for it's age.

Nice Wild One. Looks to be in pretty nice shape. Should be a fairly easy restore.

boy that is a sweet "Wild One"!...nothing special here but we found a couple more vintage riders. Both are original and run great. A 74 JDX4 Special and a Ski-Doo TNT 440
It ran when I parked it!

Super find Free Air-- that is one great looking survivor of an awesome model.    Looks like you guys still have lots of snow up there still too eh.     Is the Invader in your avitar in your collection??

Cheap is the way to go, the less you have in them, the more you can have!
