Use a magnifying glass and tiny swabs. Very hard to get the spider to hold still though...
I scatter them from the midwest to south of the Mason Dixon

I didn't need a magnifying glass for this fella.  He did NOT like the toothbrush.

Yes it's real.  I need to do a little more research before I can say what it is.  I live in Northern Utah in the "high desert" @ 5000'.  Rattlesnakes, scorpions, tarantulas, black widow spiders, this guy, and other critters hang out here.  I put the glove and chapstick in the pic to give a size reference.  I'm guessing it was 4" across.  From what I did read, it's harmless.  Cool though!

    I have the same issue

Need to dissolve the wax and not sure warm water will take care of it.  I tried a tooth pick with some ICE wax and that helped, but still allot of residual left (and its a dark surface).

Any wax solvents that won't screw up the clear-coat?

Maybe compressed air :-\ I'd be careful though not to get too close with too much psi. Might peel up the gel coat.

No much bigger than a Brown Recluse.  I think it's a Carolina Wolf spider or the Giant Crap spider.

I'm going with the Giant CRAP spider ;) Because if I seen that thing near me I'd be cleaning a giant crap out of my shorts ;D

Oops...I meant to say CraB spider!  But yeah, either name works!  It was huge and FAST.
