Wow that's crazy to find the Yamaha out in the desert. Will you restore that? Race it? Good find and glad to see it in the contest.

     :)

Sadly, we have a couple of casualties in our contest thanks to the photobucket account changes so if you have a sled in the contest, and the pics are now unable to be seen, please use the attachments and other options shortcut right below this box.

Thanks for everyone's contributions to this years thread.  8)

What's the story of how that Yamaha got to Nevada? Probably worth telling!

Not really great story, but there was a lot of racing in Northern NV/Tahoe area, lots of stuff came down from West Yellowstone, Reno was the site of Arctics western distributor and I think Polaris was norm saylor in Tahoe. Lots of snow back then in the high desert then summer comes and its hard to believe it could get so cold

    • It's all fun until there's a hole in the piston.

70 Olympique 335. Belonged to a PA game warden that he bought new. Really nice rust free Doo. Motor fire. Just getting a detail clean.

Track is very nice. Most of the work will be under the hood.

They don't come any nicer than that.  :)

Thanks for the compliments. This was a lucky 🍀 find on Craigslist and was an 8 day old ad. I had to take a 78 340 Olympique with it that is not bad condition.
The original airbox is in the trunk. Definitely one of the nicer original sleds that I have picked up. In the top 7.

74? Ski Lark. Decent. Motor runs but needs carb clean.
