The Waconia Blizzard Clone

Blizzard CloneSteve Mclean had an idea to do a group build of something very interesting for the Waconia show this year, since the featured brand is Ski-Doo on the occasion of their 50th anniversary.

What he and a very large group of vintage sledders came up with was to clone a Blizzard and put it up for auction at Waconia and give all the money away to one of our favorite charities: The Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The final tasks were done at Justin Clack’s house, but the number of people who contributed heavily is long, with tons of hours being put in by Greg Holland, Jesse Anderson and Tom Seaberg. I don’t want to leave anyone out, so please check out the SledTalk 24/7 thread that goes into greater detail.

If I’ve now inspired Blizzard lust, just remember – you can come to Waconia this weekend on it and make a bid to bring it home!
