The big SuperTrax show is taking place this weekend in Blaine Minnesota. This is a big industry trade show, featuring new sleds, ATV’s and gear. However, they have have a big interest in the old stuff as well.

Several vintage sled displays will be there. Some of the manufacturers will have some old iron on display, there is a special vintage display area, and the Snowmobile Hall of Fame will have three very impressive sleds there – including the Doug Haye’s 1975 Merc PDC (only one in existance) and the 1971 Yamaha that Mike Trapp won his first World’s Championship on.

Over in the new stuff, the plan is to do a back flip live – on a new sled. Should be interesting. I wonder if we could talk them into doing that on a Jag? After all, 60 year old man flew around the Polaris loop on a ’70 Charger. Shouldn’t someone a tad younger be able to do a back flip with a little ‘ol vintage sled???

I’m going there on a hunt for a plain, blaze orange helmet that doesn’t have a single “XTREME” graphic on it.

Wish me luck.
