1973 Arctic Cat ext track
« on: January 12, 2022, 02:42:22 am »
I'm restoring a 1973 340 EXT and it has a bad track. Does anyone know where I could get one or can I use a different track off another sled?

    Hello starfire39,

    I'd go with Dr. Mario.
    He makes some great tracks.

You could use a track off the springer Jags or of the 74 El Tigre.
These are not a bolt in application and will require some modifications.

The 74 entire has the 2/3 bar cleet. That may require a track driver change. I do not have a jag track to measure the rail spacing so I am not sure. But if it were me I would for a rider , use the skid , track and drivers out of a 75 - 80 Jag.

I'm looking at the same thing for my 74-440 El Tigre.  The Facebook group says 116" @ 2.52" pitch track from later JAG fits (probably others) and all you have to do is move the drivers to center & shim the idlers & can keep the same skid.

I have a 116" Yokohama from a Trail-Twister that is 2.52" that may be an option that I'm considering if that's the case.

I do have a 440 Jag in storage I'll check. I measured the original 73 ext track and it's around 126" + or - around. The ext will not be a rider mostly to look at.

126 inch would be a typo.
