Best OE Style Aftermarket Suspensions
« on: October 14, 2021, 12:31:21 am »
Hello All,

My beloved 2018 Silverado 1500 75,000 miles, is in the need for a new suspension. This would be for both front (Struts) and rear (Shocks). My truck is the Z71 model with the crappiest stock suspension of all-time "Rancho". I'm looking for an OE bolt on, and there are a bunch of different options. My parents have a GMC Canyon Z71 and went the Bilstein route and swear by them. I noticed they have many models to choose from and varying price range:

Truck use:
-Hauling the dirt bike and a fully loaded cab up north several times a year
-Daily driven about 150 miles per week for work
-Occasionally will tow a 24' Toy Hauler

My thoughts were to go with KYB, solid brand in the Japanese market, and put a set of Timbrens in the back.

Does anyone have any experience with these trucks? I think the 14-18 are the same chassis.

No experience with that truck but I put bilstein on most everything. Great ride quality, well built shocks
