Is anyone out there re-popping the 1977 srx aluminum bulkhead?

That part is not being reproduced. May end up repairing your old one or finding a better part. With the increased cost in aluminum and related supplies  , I bet one would be in the $1,000.00 ball park .

I believe some of the Oval Racing folks are cutting off the front cross member and replacing with thicker wall material. I'm assuming you have one that is bent?

Yes, bent and fixed too many times. I was hoping since the guys are doing the RXL clones that a Yammi guy would have done this. Any leads on one. Thanks guys

The problem is that's it's all stamped sheet. The RXL is all flat or rolled sheet.  Same reason you won't ever see a stamped reproduction aluminum SRX belly pan. The stamping die production costs make it a complete non starter.

There is one guy that reproduced a 77 bulkhead but itís not 💯 correct and the cost to do another he said would be too much, try finding a original one for about $1000-$1500 will be cheaper, thatís where the market is right now for one.

AHOOD and 440YAMAHA are correct in building cost. These parts are time consuming to get them exact like original components. That is why when I am restoring a sled I sometimes need a non available part and will make a few xtra 's incase during the production , I mess one up i have a spare to fall back on . If I have a spare I would offer them for sale to help in covering my materials. A guy need to try building exact parts and they will quickly see how time consuming it is to get the parts correct.
