74 Roll-O-Flex

I am just finally wrapping up restoring a 74 Roll-O-Flex "Wild-One"
So I went back and found some pictures, and I'll post them up in the next few days...

Here is what I started with...kind of.
I didn't find a pic of it when I got it, and I tore into it without taking pics

Belly pan removed

It was pretty complete.
This was back in 2007... I guess it takes me a while to get stuff done!

Dash. It didn't have a seat... But it did have the trademark knee-pads

Suspension.
Weighs a ton. It has a bunch of spacers to separate the wheels, and on this one I think they were cut with a hack saw, and were all different lengths. It does have the front "3rd" spring mod (not all had it)

After disassembly, I started with the tunnel. Just cleaned it up with water and a scotch-brite pad

I mounted the tank, steering hoop, and tail light so I could get the seat made

I had to do some straightening and welding, then I rattle can painted up the bulkhead with wheel paint, seems pretty good...

The paint was barely dry and I was putting it together

Jump ahead a couple years...
The suspension, jackshaft, engine, etc are all in.
The jackshaft has an aluminum pillow-block housing with 2 bearings, and mounts on a cast-aluminum plate that the engine mounts on.
The chain case on these Roll-O's is a cut-down version of their regular sleds, adapted to the jackshaft setup
I came up with my own cover to seal the top

Worked on the wiring and plumbing, put on the freshly painted belly pan and worked on the steering/alignment

Then I raised my blood pressure about 50 points by putting on the decals!
