Prpwler, -- do it sooner than later, old age takes it's toll on many before we are aware sometimes, we never know.

The Dow has taken a drop and will continue during these times, virus and election speculation .I encourage those that don’t understand who makes up the Dow to research it. 30 top companies in the us stock market, also interesting as to who they are many of us probably have very little funds invested in them.
Once you simply yahoo or google : what companies make up the Dow , and follow news it will be very clear as to why the big moves take place.

2 comments in this thread was made that I will respectfully offer up my opinions on:

    1. Investment / financial advisors take 10% to consult - Find someone else , if you invest a 1/4 million or more the top investment companies will manage your funds. Manage is the key word , protecting your investments, calling you when opportunity knocks and moving funds during troubled times to reduce loss.
1 1/2 % is the cost. We have been very happy to pay this as our nest egg has provided an annual 16% minimum return.
    2. I’m thinking about moving my money during this election time:
We did just that a month ago at no additional out of pocket cost , if all of your investments are in the Dow or S&P 500 you will be on the downhill side of the roller coaster ride.

Roth IRA’s another great place to place income vs bank savings ( long term)
Money market for short term savings vs bank savings ( generally higher interest return )

A large percentage of Vintagesleds members are older, we have worked many years to enjoy our golden years. I wish you all the very best in your efforts to achieve financial comfort !

Trust funds- Living trust- family gifting also should be studied .

I have been diversifying my portfolio as much as I can these days. Even though I'm younger (30 years old) I still want to retire early. My dad has advised me to not only invest in my 401K, but also Roth, Roth IRA, and Mutual Funds along with my Employers Stock Program. I have been blessed to have someone guide me through this process as they don't teach you any of this when you are younger.

All worried the corruption is too deep
Ignorant people find me irritating. Isn't that precious

It takes dedication, and commitment to make a difference..

Please don't expect me to take you seriously, if your tinfoil hat is leaning to the far left,,,,,

and mercury is not a good replacement for tinfoil,,,,

    Have a nice day!

Most of my money I spent on vintage sleds. The rest I wasted.
