"Itís with great sadness that I pass along some news regarding one of our members Jim Struble, who unfortunately passed away over the weekend at his cabin in Annandale, on Lake Sylvia. Jim was just 57 years old.
Jim was very passionate about snowmobiling, as a member of the Chaska SnoHawks, his home club, and the Snowrunners, along with being the President of Southwest Trails, and a former director of the MnUSAís Region 8 , he continued to attend Regional MnUSA meetings and workshops and Rendezvous . Jim was also highly involved in the Midwest Vintage Snow Shows, doing tireless work to make it all happen, and was heavily involved in the move from Waconia to Elk River and led countless discussions on the pros and cons of such a move.
Jim was always there to lend a helping hand, camp out for the weekend with his big Ski Doo Trailer, wire lights for a vintage snowmobile display, and whatever it took to get the job done.
Jim really enjoyed spending time with his boys and whomever would tag along out west snowmobiling in the big mountains of Wyoming and beyond.
Jim will be greatly missed, by all he came in contact with, that big smile, gentle spirit and with great humility, Jim was a really super great nice guy, and he will be sorely missed."
Jim would always ask me how my life is going and what my plans for the future are. Being a successful businessman, he always told me to start my own business someday and gave me a lot of great direction for that quest. He will be truly missed by many in the community.
