Just Finished 76 TNT RV 340
« on: April 19, 2020, 06:14:49 pm »
Just finished complete resto on the 76. Had it sitting on shelf for 12 yrs and was collecting NOS parts over that time. Sled was tore down to bare tunnel and built back up with a lot of new parts and everything not replaced was polished or painted. 3 months of 5-8 hr days just polishing aluminum. Motor torn down and new crank bearings/ balanced by a Northern Crank. New complete top end. All motor cases, cylinders, heads, carbs, etc., soda blasted. Every other aluminum parts polished to mirror finish. Was able to replace all the hard to find parts with NOS like bar pad, ski rubbers, 3 wire kill, etc. Would like to look at/show sled for a year then will be selling, unless someone really needs it?

Drooling here. Nice job. Seeing this reminds me that back in the day I never understood why they never made a 440 FA version of this sled. That just seemed like an opportunity missed. I've always liked this style in both the Doo and Moto-ski versions. Never rode one, never had a chance because everyone I ever found out in this country had been consumed, hacked up, scrapped or it's a wall hanger at a show. Thank goodness another ones been saved. 8)
I have one very special sled.
I no longer claim to be omniscient because the rules are more like guidelines.
Thank God I have more than one hobby.

That's a beauty. In my opinion the best looking/most desirable of the RV's. I'm kinda partial to the sleds in the background though. :)
