I say if the chaps can run then the twin rotor Johnson should run also. Both were outlawed!

Its silly to think an ifs sled with a torsion bar isnt an advantage emulsion shocks or not. If the triple motor isnt good put a chap twin in it with some rotax cylinders or get hazard to sell you some of my rough in tx cylinders and maybe he would even throw in some of my pipe cones. He's happy to help I hear.

The Chaparell's would have a huge advantage, but probably should be allowed to race. Instead of following super mod rules, I think they should follow more closely to IFS rules.

The reproduction chassis racing pro mod were not getting disqualified including Randy's 340 that won pro mod last year when the rules said no reproduction chassis were allowed how would you expect those rules to be enforced. Sweet to make rules but if they aren't enforced what's the point. If you're going to allow ifs it needs to be all ifs to the year otherwise it needs to be a leaf spring class.

2010 I got 2nd to the Tony on a Chap, 2011, I beat them all.  A leafer can compete.  The chaps weren't banned until the WC went to 440.

I agree, they probably should be allowed to race.  As long as the rules don't let them turn into champ sleds.  I'm sure there is a lot of potential in one, but would be neat to see them back in it.

I personaly think there is a chassis advantage

but definitely not an engine advantage

but if you guys want them back, I would take that back out of retirement make a few changes and see you in 2019 season  ;D

if the chappie IFS is a advantage and not the rest of the sled then make the ifs not functional and put a leaf spring ski om it, so then lets see if they still want to race when its on the same level them Chappie's

like I said the only thing that's good about the sled is the IFS front end

the rest of the sled is basicly JUNK

Interesting subject, are the chaps still banned from the wc? I'd love to be able to bring the #63 chap out from ny to race at ER in 2022
