I was actually considering that, also some more thorough welds other places and maybe some gusseting of the original bulkhead. The more i look at my "TCL" mount, the more I dont like it so it may get changed as well.

Yesterday I put the belly pan and hood back on for fitting and cutting for the primary clutch. I hated the look of the pie pan so i decided to widen the whole front end.

Cut and removed the front "beam", widened it 4 inches, and welded all the motor mounts back on. Cut and temporarily remounted the belly pan.

How are you going to get a belt between the primary and the belly pan?

Looks pretty tight right? There was a quarter inch in that pic. I fudged another 1/2 out of it. I cut the hood today, probably be a while until i make any more progress.  That hood is going to take a while and i cant run fuel, electricals or coolant because i havent found a dash, or fuel tank. Does anyone have a junk bumper for one of these? I need about a 5" piece to weld in to mine. Update: I got the bumper piece,  thanks for all the responses! Great site

Thanks, yeah weight will be down quite a bit from the Zrt but no guess yet as to what it'll be. Ill put it on a scale when done for comparison. I think your right on with the 130, if that's not enough, there's lots of 900 top ends out there or I have an 1107 that Id be happy to swap in.

Cool project. But your going to loose a ton of hp with megaphones. My guess is you will be way under a 100 hp,  The factorys put a ton in R and D on pipes, tuned to a specific motor and porting.  Good luck.

Yeah I figure about 30 hp, the cool thing is that now that Ive decided to widen it, I have more room for pipes. I mean like from none to not enough. Believe me I'm a big believer in pipes, most of my Thundercats have them and if I can fit them, Ill run them. I'm looking for a set of Aaens right now as they have a smaller belly than most.
