    The last set of pictures of the Polaris team ......... the Hulings sled.

    Looks like a "leafer" on the left side of that pic ............ must have been very early in the season for one of those still showing up at the race track.

    I think Larry has said that Hulings and Thoreson's 250's were still leafers at Eagle.

    I think Larry has seen most if not all the Polaris pics. Neil took most of them and Larry came by Neil's place one night and looked them over. That was before his book was done. Also more pics.

    On the leafer sleds, is the gas tank under the hood? I do not see them in any of the pics unlike the IFS sleds where you can see them.

    The right side foot loop looks a lot different from what I have seen on the restored sleds and nothing like whats used today.

    All three leafers had different foot loops, customized by the rider. They all had different handlebars as well.

    The gas tanks are tucked up under the steering post. You have to be behind the machine to see it.
