Wow! That Scorcher is awesome!! I tend to like the odd ball sleds and this certainly qualifies! Great find and cool story as well.

I love the Sno-Shoo!!

I saw this sled last year at a job I was working on and I asked about it. She said she was going to see if her son wanted it. Fast forward to yesterday, I'm back doing a job for her again and I noticed the sled was still there covered up and in the trees. I casually asked about it again..... She says she is moving and I should just take it because she needs to clean up the yard. It was about 100 yards away from the driveway and about 2 feet of snow on the ground, how am I going to get this thing out of here? I was told it last ran a few years ago ( ha, heard that before)  I ran home grabbed some gas a few tools and my bag of tie downs. Hoping for the best. Pulled the plug, it looked new, poured a bit of oil down there to loosen things up, pulled the gas cap of to smell the fuel and wow! it smelled pretty good, someone thought ahead and put in stabilizer. Cranked it over quite a few times and it fired right up. Yay!! Now how do I get it unfrozen from the ground? Half an hour later I was going for a victory lap around her garage and straight into the back of my truck. Needs a bit of work but overall a pretty decent 1 owner machine.

These pics are the as found condition, haven't done a thing to it yet , just riding it when I have to slow down from the pace of my 78 6500 blizzard.  I need spindle bushings for it though, does anyone have a line  on any?

Might as well enter these.  71 Eskimo RTs.  One had a 440 Sachs and the other had a 297 sachs single.  Figuered they were worth sharing being the rarity of them.

If I find the time and extra cash I'll build one decent one out of the two and put an Indy trail 488 engine in it.

Those are pretty good shape worth fixing up with a 488.
When I grow up, I want to be a biker. But Mom says I can't do both.

Here's a couple I bought last weekend. I have to be the only idiot that would buy a snowmobile in the east this year of No Snow.
1979 Exciter 440 and 1976 Rupp Rally 440. Here they are after a quick cleanup. They haven't been out of the garage in 15 years. Hope we get some snow so I can try them out.

The only idiocy I can see here is if you'd have said no. Those sleds are really clean. How many miles behind them?  8)
