Ya Phil 1970 was a very good year for Arctic Cat  ;D ;D Time to get serious about getting this Panther going....set engine in....good compression....got bright spark....parallelism close enuf.....can't get the offset that I want.....time to start Tweaking :)...how come nothing is ever easy ::)

    A little bit of grinding & offset correct....center/center right # for the belt i'm running....parallelism good....started it today...sounds good....new windshield...ready for testing.....Braaaap!!!

    Sweet! Don't see too many panthers with a Sachs. Need to get me one someday.

    Having trouble starting it after sitting overnight.....seems didn't want to pull fuel all the way from that rear tank.....found a choke cable rigged the choke so it works....still hard start.....installed primer now can flood the [email protected] out of it easily...Awsum ;D....going testing today...Braaap!!!

    Blew all the oil out of the chaincase first ride.....the eccentric was loose in the tower & had a bad o ring.....had another eccentric & new o ring on the shelf....ran really nice & hit 48mph on the gps first time out....pretty good for a big boat....the lid on the counsel had no latch so was flopping up/down during ride....bolt/nut/washer/spring & a piece of metal mcgivered a latch :)...ready to Braaaap again!

    340 sachs ready for Togo Irondog Vintage ride Feb,14, 2016.....30 mile trail thru Boggy Creek....wife rides the 1977 Elan 250 deluxe.....lots of snow here....Braaap!!!!

    Maiden voyage for the 1970 panther yesterday.....did the Togo Irondog 30 mile vintage ride.....ran good the whole way.....broken flex pipe on the exhaust.....LOUD.....have to rig a double knuckle connector....great Funnn...what better place to take your wife on Valentines Day  8)......Braaaap!!!!

    made the 30 mile Togo Irondog ride & didn't need a ride behind the Grizzly....."Gona make it go again" has finally happened.....Happy with the project  ;D

    the stock original exhaust didn't last long....1st 30 mile ride the flex pipe broke....LOUD.....trip to the muffler shop.....came home with this set up.....Braaaaap!!!!!!

    I like that pipe set-up. I don't know if it's a SACHS single thing or not, but every one I've had has had problems keeping the pipe hooked up.  :)
