Will the old way continue to work? Or do I need to get nervous?   ;D

The first thing to do is turn down the size settings on your camera so you don't have to re-size in the future.

Re-sizing your current photos can be done several ways. Easiest is probably using your current photo viewing program on your computer. These all vary to some degree, but usually there is a fix button that will allow you to re-size, crop and modify your photos. Since I don't know what program you have I can't be specific. I also know that photos can be re-sized in Paint in every version of Windows. There are also several on line programs that will do it for you.

I have noticed that on some others posts there is claimed to be a picture, but I don't see one.  This is when I am logged in.

    Chad,
If you are logged in, you should see the pictures.  Verify that you are logged in.

If that doesn't help, I would shut your computer down and reboot, see if that helps.

If it doesn't, please post your operating system and browser.  (Or better yet if you have multiple browsers, check a different browser)  I recommend Firefox if you are not using it, others like Chrome.

I haven't found help on using an IPad. Help! As far as I know, you can only resize by cropping? All my photos will be Way too large to ever post....

I have no experience with an IPad.

But you should have some settings in the camera function to downsize the picture BEFORE you take it.  Maybe someone with an IPad can help out.

I know this may sound stupid to any computer literate folks, but the only way I could find to downsize photos to post on Craigslist/EBay, etc, was to email them to myself, & then re-save with a slightly different file name. I use Microsoft Outlook Express, and when emailing pictures, it gives you the option to downsize when sending. I'm sure many programs would do this, but I would rather tinker with an old motor than try & figure out why Microsoft, etc, make things so complicated. So to anyone that had the same trouble as me, try this 'cause it works. I attached a pic that I did this to, so lets see how it works!

Just upgraded my Ipad mini to OS9

I no longer can attach any photos   -   Now I get this message ALL the time

    image.jpeg.
You cannot upload that type of file. The only allowed extensions are txt,doc,pdf,jpg,gif,mpg,png,mp4.

I can mail that same image to myself and it comes through as a jpg.

Never got that before with a ton of pictures posted from the Ipad - Am I hosed ?

Hard to tell on an Ipad ....  Not smart enough to find the extension on camera roll

However when I mail them to myself - they show up as JPG (no E")

I can post files that show up in email as png

Can you email me a picture so that I can see if I can post it from a "real" computer?

JPG file should post.  From the forum.

I wonder if the file size isn't too large?  If that is the case you will need to take the photo in a smaller resolution, or shrink using software.

I will pm you a email address.  I will be in the shop for the evening.
