Title: Jag track conversion
Post by: Rupp luver on June 29, 2021, 10:54:45 pm
I did a search on this before, couldn't find it.What rubber track/suspension will fit in the 76-79 Jags? Need the cleated track gone. I think its about 115" long,46 drive lugs.Thanks.

I'll take a stab at this:  I believe that 85-early 90's Jags fit that, I know they are 15 x 115 I don't know how many windows though.

Windows or lugs would be close to 46 or so,probably about a 2.52 pitch. I had this info from before, but it did the famous vanishing act. :o

I found it by doing a Google search.  I find it better than just searching this site as it finds stuff on this site and all the other forums too.
But of course the info on this site was better than the other forums..... ;D

My brother picked up a '80 jag with a 121 for free.  I did a lot of work to get it looking like it does and a motor swap, but it rides nice.

My info's DATED but back when I was working on them I looked for a wrecked 1980-81 6000 or 1981 5000 Tigger with a good track to put into the 1979 to 1981 Jags. Swapped cogs and idlers and rolled. Second Gen Jag skid has 4.5 inches of travel. Rides far better than the first gen steel skid when restored. Also swapped in early ZR type adjustment cams in the skid. Seemed to work better.
