The Three Rivals just out having fun in the snow...
« on: December 26, 2013, 06:38:18 pm »
Got the 70 Doo done today, took it out for a ride and of course I had to drag others out and go for a ride too. Could not help but take a few pictures, three big competitors back in the day, now just sitting side by side and enjoying the outdoors  ;)

I think they look good next to each other, the Panther is still my favorite riding sled, very comfortable & smooth!! The TX is a fun noise maker & the Doo keeps ya warm when riding it!

A step back in time.    Nicely done pictures.  No shots with modern sleds or cars in the background.   ;)

Nah...the TX don't have anything to worry about! The 530 can hold its own pretty good  ;)

Thanks! I actually do not have modern sleds anymore, do not have the snow to justify one...so I just ride the old ones down the trails! I like to cruise anyhow, if it takes all day to put 30 miles on, I do not mind that in the least, get to see a lot of nature that way, and get plenty of looks too!

Pic could have been taken in 1970!  Well except the resolution was much better.

You're welcome! I should have set the camera to black & white...then shook a little for the fuzzy 70's camera look  ;)

As if I need another brand I know nothing about!!!  ;D  Superstinger one year at the Garage Get Together jumped my driveway with his. Ya ever seen a freight train jump a driveway? I haven't, but I figured that was probably really close to it! I actually tried to get a couple of them, a Stinger & Stingerette...about 1/8 mile from my house, guy did not want to part with them though.

Just wonderful pictures , a step back in time , down memory lane , could have been 1970---- all the nice things that people have said and real vintage sled pictures the way it really was in the old days, no brand preference just fun old sleds. I have a picture of our family and the neighbors taken in 1971 out riding, there were seven riders and 6 different makes.
