I had "heard" that they do it the same weekend as the Novi Show so you get the people from out of state for that show will also come to A1. Not sure if there is any truth behind it. Either way I enjoyed the show and came home with another chap.

Nearly 15 years held the first week-end in NOV...not realistic to change.  Besides, the weather was more common for SEP in Michigan!

We went to A-1 both days and enjoyed it despite the mud. I felt that there was a little more organization and better communication between the organizers and the staff on Saturday. I didn't find any Suzuki snowmobile parts, but did talk with the guy from Waterford that came Saturday with the pair of decent '74 XR400's for sale. I understand they were purchased by a man from New York, without the trailer.

Made the hand-off of NOS Fury skis to 650 Super for clem79, nice to meet you in person, Tim. Saw a lot of you other guys and bs'd a bit, great to see you all again. Took home a few quarts of oil, generic fuel filter, bought a nice, clean arborist McCulloch chainsaw and was given a few freebies by friends like jschaffer, penguin and a couple of people I didn't even know. Gotta love this hobby and the comraderie it inspires!

No negative to talk about.I could but won't! The positive I had a great time meeting many old friends, meeting new ones, my wife made a 2 ft square sign that I put on the side of my trailer.it said (tripleart) everyone knew me then! That was fun.polcat, swamprat,, the list goes on! How cool to put a face to the name or handle.everything else I leave to another time.thanks to john, shane and max for helping me this weekend.  tripleart.   8)

Had a good overall time at the show. Thanks Art for the Speedway chassis and parts!! Max was trilled to find out that it is his project. I must not have told him until we arrived home. It wasn't pleasant getting it to the trailer but looking back I wouldn't hesitate to push it through the mud again. Probably the only exercise I have managed to get this month! :)
I enjoyed the show and met several like minded people and people from the site and I enjoyed meeting John. I enjoyed our visit, Art. Dinner was awesome. I picked up some parts for the Speedway and the Z and crossing the border back to Ontario was painless. I made a connection and found 79 skidoo sno pro skis that I will pick up in Peterborough...That was great! Thanks J.P. & Neil!! Sorry that I missed Ted and Michael. I hope to be back again next year!!!
