Can anyone positively identify these pipes?
« on: September 21, 2013, 06:56:29 pm »
Can anyone positively identify these pipes and what they fit?

They allegedly came off a drag SRX and I was told they might be Hauck ?
Perhaps AAEN or DRP??
There's no identifying marks on the pipes that I can find and I've looked at as many photos as I can find of SRX drag sleds and havnt seen anything like them

They look a little like Aaen, I had some Aaen 500 Polaris pipes that kind of looked like that. Email this picture to them and they will let you know

Yea, they do KIND OF look like AAEN but they don't look anywhere near other AAEN SRX pipes I've owned/seen and I've found no other SRX photo (or any other sled for that matter) with these exact pipes being used
These have more segments in the header pipe than AAENs and more work in the main chamber area

    Does anyone else recognize them?
    Thanks for any help

They look like a set of endo pipes my brother had for a cat
    Hmmm maybe.
They do look somewhat similar to some of the Endo/AAEN Cat pipes shown in this old thread but have way more sections and shaped differently in the header

I also have a set of these pipes with no info. Stinger on ours is a little longer.

Was told they were for GPX 338 when we bought them. That is all I know.

You're either going or ya aint

i could be wrong but they look just like my delaughter pipes made probably in 90's by dave delaughter. They were a one off pipe he hand built from scratch to match the porting on my cylinders for my 440 srx mod stock. Someone else i showed picks too thinks there a rotax 340 pipe mod. But they look very close to mine! exept on the exhaust flanges where they hook up urs seem to have some type of offset angle. Mine are straight. Very close. Mine measure 15 1/4 on largest diameter of the pipe and 42 something not including stinger.

Also at the last clone part of the pipe mine goes straight into a stinger not the like 2 inch cylinder by 12 inch deal that yours has and then the stinger

So i could have different pipes but  the body and cuts and welds look similar to mine

Thanks Yammy one (and others that have contributed)
I believe the header pipes might have been modified with a bit of a "jink" as the sled was allegedly a "lay-down" chassis.
Yamaha One, do you still have these pipes or have any pics of the pipes in your Mod Stock?
What cylinders did you run on your sled? (understood they were modified but what were they based on? 8F2 or 8A7?

What about you giver85? Still have these pipes? any photos?

In the meantime I will measure the main chamber diameter on these
    Thanks again for the help.

Dave ported them to 8g9 cylinders but ported they are all capable of the same. My 77 mod cylinders and. 8g9 ones both use these pipes currently. If u email me or text I can send you pics . joningvall@gmail.com.   7123302933
