Thanks. I guess its just a little overwhelming for a first resto! I don't see many 64 K-600's on the list! Is it true its the first year of the front engine, and there were only 400 made? Then out of those 400 some were sold to Autoboggan, and many of the 400 were rebuilt into rear engines by Polaris due to it being a poor design?

I'm not sure exactly how many were made but it was the first year of a more forward mounted engine.
Should just drive em' in the daylight anyway.

Welcome! The history books were / are not very good for great detail on theses old sleds. But yes, legend has it that aprox 400 were made, "most" were returned to the factory, some were made into the 1965 Super Pacer, and some were crushed. And like yours, some never made it back to the factory. That's kinda the purpose of this thread, to write an accurate history book of sorts.
Your restoration looks like a "scuff and paint" compared to what I have seen before! There's lots of people here that are willing to help you with information and repop parts for it too. You'll enjoy it!
    Nice sled!

I dont know how many where made, but I have 4 Comets in total. I found a really nice 800, little surface rust but really solid. Engine is stuck from siting, but should be running next winter.
If you cant move it, paint it.

    SN 822    Model C-10

This is my first post to this site. Strange that I've been enjoying this hobby for this long without becoming a site member until today. But I do have a motive here. An old timer friend has this Sno Traveler (C-10 #822) and he wants to get an idea of what it might be worth. I collect and restore Ski-Doo only and know very little about early Polaris so I can't help him. It runs and drives, is unrestored, it is blue, looks all original except the glass windshield is missing. He thinks it is a 1957. I have no photos, but I didn't see any damage or rust issues. Shoot me an email if you can provide any guidance. Great site! Doug B.      dbumann@embarqmail.com
