Picked up a Stihl ms180c chainsaw from a garage sale. Gentleman said it wouldn't shut off unless choked and it won't idle but starts and revs fine.
Got it home, started cleaning it. Removed the cover and found the kill wire had simply pulled off the switch-fixed that issue. Saw starts and runs great at 1/3+ throttle. Cleaned the filter, new gas, but this saw ONLY has an adjustable idle screw. Didn't have time to adjust but I'm fairly certain that adjustment won't fix the issue. Anyone have luck tearing these type of carbs apart? Nearly Stihl part is out-of-stock at the moment so finding a carb kit will be fun.
