Best Display, and it must have been stupid tough voting on this - wow!!

Winner is Stratford Wisconsin's Dan Drexler with the sensational Speedway Display with 5 Speedways I don't think any of us had seen before.

It took some talking to get Dan to bring those sleds and display but I think now he is pretty happy he did.

Sponsor's Choice as picked by The Waconia Ride-in went to Jerry Rudbeck and their fresh 1969 T'NT 669.  This selection had more to do than just the beautiful 669 but it also was in honor of "The Racing Rudbecks" who were featured in a 1969 Race and Rally Magazine article.  The story covered the 8 Rudbecks from Central Minnesota who went and opened eyes at every race they were at racing a fleet of 12/3 SS, 320 SS, 399 T'NT's and 669 T'NT.  People took notice when they pulled in to race including the factorys at Eagle River when they placed TWO 669's in the World Championship.

Congrats to the whole Rudbeck Family and the awesome job restoring the 669.  It was a treat to see so many of them in attendance at the Nats and all the awesome sleds they brought. Midwest Vintage Snowmobile Shows and the Waconia Ride-In was proud to select the Rudbecks and the 669 as our Sponsor's Choice!!

Wish to throw BIG THANK YOU to A.J. and Cathy and all crew, to put this all together. Had a great  time, met some super people. Got a good deal in swap meet, and good leads. And hat"s off to Bay City Bluff Busters personal, for helping unload Friday. Ready for next Midwest Nationals. Thank for having us.

    Bear
Were is pics of all the mods, you said there were tons of them. or will there be another round of pics. To bad no news coverage too. Would have been a lot more spectators if the 200,000 people in Rochester  knew this was happening.  Yesterdays rain didn't help I am sure.  Bear I called KTTC News and the Post Bulletin and it fell on deaf ears but I did what I could. Wish I could have gone but had to work, I am glad one of my buddies put my sleds in for me. Just glad I got to honor Terry Beard (Turboindy) and keep my promise to Cindy so he could make the last show though he is sleddin in the clouds now.

A lot of people worked there butts off to set this up so they should be mentioned too. Great Job Guys.

PDCFREAK......CLASSY thing to do.   Thank you for honoring Terry with display of one of his holy grail sleds.   He was there in spirit for certain.   Well done sir.

To AJ & Cathy and rest of hard working crew-- well done.   Family health issues took priority for us the last few weeks so no trip to Minnesoda eh.    Love the pics and looks like the event went awesome.   Some sleds and displays there to make one just go jaw wide open.

Really proud of how it went but we're not done yet.
I'll be back tomorrow getting my trail sleds and more importantly:
once all of the bills are paid, anything that's still in the bank account WILL BE DONATED TO THE GROUPS THAT HELPED US WITH THE SHOW.

One of the groups is comprised of those who are putting on the 19 show in New York. We'll be sending them a nice check to kick off their show. Snow Bears ran the swap and helped load us up tonight. I'll drop by one of their meetings with some kick back.  Bay City Bluff Busters put in allot of effort as did a couple other clubs. I expect you all will be getting something back for those efforts.

We want to thank all those volunteers big time. The rain sucked, but they worked through it.

Also, how about our celebrity speakers. Great range of topics and presentation processes. Need to get some of Brian's "vitamins". Jim Dimmerman is just plain cool and Valdi always has these amazing stories. Easy to see how Hal gets his stories. He's very sharp.

Allot of new things in this show. How we judged was unique. Some of the classes were new as was the group of national champion finalists.
Big congrats to Dan!!!  Welcome to the club.
I'll get the winners and results on the website once I unpack the stuff.
    Thanks to all who attended.

Want to thank everyone that put on a nicely organized show and swap !!  What a nice venue to have th show at all indoors and easy for people I get their sleds unloaded and loaded. The swap area was big enough just too bad more people didn’t show up with stuff to sell. Still found plenty thinks to buy and want to buy but didn’t pull the trigger. There was plenty of nice sled displays and unique sleds you don’t see everyday and want to thank those people for bringing them out for us to see. It was nice to meet some new people and see old friends too !!  Great day was had with my son and I and the rain could have stayed away but we made due as it didn’t last to long. Dale

Im truly beside myself that my Alouette was in the final four, and then won? Wow!!!, it's such an honor to bring home the top award, I've been at a loss for words. So many nice sleds at this show and I don't think it feels real yet. So many nice people that I met and talked to. Judging was very professional and straight forward. What an amazing show that AJ, Cathy, Tom and many others organized. I cant thank everyone enough, it was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

In the end, my sled got her last say, I threw out my back getting the sled down off the blocks before the awards ceremony so unfortunately the awards ceremony was a rather painful experience. It was my fault, lift with your legs and not your back....dummy. That said, I'm back home, sled is home safe and sound in our little 2 stall garage. Going to take it easy for a while and heal up. I will put together some history of the sled and the restoration this week and will post it for you guys.

Great job Tom, AJ and crew! As a participant things couldn't have gone any smoother. Swap spot great and affordable plus sold a sled! Indoor venue was sweet especially during the rain. Alouette was a deserving champion and the Speedway display fantastic, complete with revolving sled. Rest up Tom for a few weeks then you can start on Douglas Show! I don't know how you do it!

Looks like a great turnout and good weather too.

I didn't see any Alouettes other than the winner. Also, did anyone get any pictures of the Speedway display.

    Thanks.

There was one other Alouette that I am aware of. There was a 73 super 340 that I believe was owned by the Hanson family in the unrestored/as race class.
