I have known Earl Larson's son Davey for 30 years. Dave raced both sleds and karts for his father during the 60-70's Earl continued on with the kart stuff through the 90's. GEM the business was sold off to someone who continued some of the Kart parts. Earl died about 8 or 9 years ago and the buildings themselfs were sold off. I helped Davey move what he could out before the sale was final but there was very little time. I did come back with our truck packed with as much as I could bring. I posted what I had here in the classified section but was over run in a few hours. Most all of it went to one very well known man on this board and I would guess much of it has made its way out there by now.Outside of whatever some collectors may have, the rest is gone
I've been alot of thing in my life

Years ago my father gave me a box of sled stuff from his basement that had a couple GEM items. I have a hr ram tube still in its original box and what looks like a hr to hd adaptor. I've also got a head that looks very similar to the one in the ad posted here. I never knew they made heads,  how can I identify it as a GEM head? Its got some numbers on it, but not the numbers in the ad. He had a '69 Sno-Jet that I would guess was the sled it was all used on because after that he was all Yamaha.

It would have GEM on the bottom corner if memory serves me right
Ignorant people find me irritating. Isn't that precious

It takes dedication, and commitment to make a difference..

Doesn't say GEM on it anywhere.  I googled the number on the head and "hirth" and it comes back as a hirth 300 head. Guess the ole man pulled the stock head and let the sled go with whatever he replaced it with.
