Now where have you been picking? You weren't at that place now were you. I still haven't made it there since we couldn't meet up that one time.
Looks like it just adds the crossover for dual tillotson's is all, can't tell from this point of view whether it's HR's or HD's. Doesn't look like one for a Sachs or a Hirth is why I say that.

Got you wondering do I Derwood? I'm hot on the trail of two sleds you must of just missed in the late 80s / early 90s (I think you told me that)... and once again no not over there. I have only seen a solid GEM like this, not one connected by a hose but than again my eyes haven't been around that long in the world of vintage snowmobiles. Not thinking the lead on these old racers will amount to much but you never know.

I am thinking that was a one piece and someone cut it apart and put the straight radiator hose in   for an engine with a different center to center distance.

That's just a normal GEM adaptor with the crossover. I believe I have two or three in the garage. They came with the rubber crossover and were fastened with clamps. It allowed for adjustment according to cylinder spacing. Looks to be for HR carbs, used frequently on the Hirth 634. The adaptors in the last pic appear to be HR to HR, used to replace a single carb setup on twins.

The upper 2 on the right are for the Sachs SA 2-290 or SA 2-340 twin fan cooled engines. It is a 2 piece deal as you can see. They are OEM Sachs parts.

I have one like that but has clamps on the hose. I got it from an old Scorpion dealer, he said it was for a CCW. Mine is hr to hr pattern.
