Winter is here!
With many areas of the country already seeing significant snowfall, I think it’s safe to say winter 2010-2011 has arrived! As I write this, the Twin Cities area of Minneapolis and St. Paul is being covered in what could be as much as 8″ of new snow!
With the snow comes the ice and that can only mean that the vintage race season is about to get rolling. Racing gets underway this weekend in Beauejour Manitoba at the famed race track there. If you can make it up, don’t miss this chance to see some great racing on a great track, with truly amazing hosts and a party you are likely to never forget.
Early word out of Rock Rapids Iowa is that they have 3″ of ice already on that track and the vintage racers will be hitting the track on December 18th, on schedule. For my money, Rock Rapids has one of the best race facilities there is. The track is banked, with open ends, and they have a grandstand and plenty of good food and drinks for the fans. This is the first race in the Vintage SnoPro series, so expect a lot of the big guys to be there testing out equipment and trading paint.
Now enough of my yappin’. I’ve got to get some machines ready for all this snow!
