Location: China, Maine Date: Jan 11, 2015 Time: 10 AM
We are happy and proud to announce the 1st Annual Top of the Lake Vintage Snowmobile Show to be held in China, Maine (Rte 202 China Middle School)on January 11, 2015.

It has always been our desire to present a quality show where snowmobile “lovers” of all ages can enjoy a day together here in Central Maine. After meeting with the Town of China Economic & Community Development Committee, we have become partners to create a Local Winter Weekend. Although in the planning stages, there will also be multiple activities provided by the China group to supplement our show.

Presented by Tory’s Vintage Sleds (www.torysvintagesleds.com), our show will offer People’s Choice Trophies in multiple classes, Food and Warm drinks, $25 gas card for “farthest traveled entrant”, Free Show T shirts to all entrants who pre-register, “For Sale Sled Corral”, Custom T shirts on site by Rau’s Design and much more.

Not only will we be offering free Show T shirts to all those who pre-register, but also, our show may be entered free of charge to all comers.

It becomes very apparent that by offering free entry and T shirts, funds are necessary to maintain the quality show we desire.

Therefore, we are appealing to all those individuals and businesses who share our love of Vintage Snowmobiles and Winter Sports in general to help us with a Sponsorship and or donations.

We will begin the evening at 6 pm with an autograph session/happy hour followed by a dinner buffet. Once dinner service has completed we will have several guest speakers, including Herb Howe, the winner of the very first Winnipeg to St. Paul I-500 in 1966. Day two of this event on Saturday, Feb. 14, includes riding the final leg of the Winnipeg to Willmar I-500. Brian Nelson has made it possible for us to ride the final leg of the Winnipeg to Willmar I-500 from Alexandria to Willmar. We will be hitting the trail Saturday morning, about an hour after all the race sleds have left. This ride will be led by hall of famer, Frans Rosenquist. The ride will be around 110 miles long. At about the 60 mile mark we will stop at the I-500 fuel manifold to gas up. If you have a pre mix sled you will need to provide your own oil. There will be gas containers available on site to mix in. There also will be a lunch buffet served at this stop. Both gas and lunch will be included in the $75 cost of this historic ride. 2015 VSCA NATIONALS-- The 10th Annual VSCA Nationals is being held August 7th and 8th, 2015 at the Midland County Fairgrounds, Midland Michigan. The fairgrounds is located within 1/2 mile of many hotels and restaurants, as well as large mall and many other neat local things to do & see for the whole family. The Fairgrounds is a perfect old time feel, with newly updated modern facilities. We are pleased to report that there will also be a large swap area directly attached to the building where the show sleds will be. The ASCOA is holding their Summer Meet at the same time so there will be many there with their antique sleds on display in the show too. This is an exciting opportunity for all to see some sleds and history they may never see again. Michigan has always had a strong role in the history of snowmobiling and we will have it on display here. We are working with some of Michigan's long standing racing leaders , Bob Adamowski is helping lead this effort and putting together a Racers Reunion where you can meet some of the drivers of the past and see their race sleds & displays of years gone by. There will be racers from all types of snowmobile racing- snow, ice, grass, water - ovals, drags, enduros, hill climbs, cross county etc. There will be early check in on Thursday Aug 6th and Fri Aug 7th. The show and swap will be on Friday August 7th and Sat Aug 8th 2015. The awards banquet will be Sat evening Aug 8th. Move out of sleds will be Sunday Aug 9th. More details on host site hotel, camping on site etc to come in the near future. Gate fee will be only $5 per day, and swap fee only $20 for both days.
