finally got the hood painted today wow alot of work but it payed off turned out really nice.

    hood should be good and dry in a couple days then I will apply the decals .

    got the hood home today and was going to apply the decals I've had for about 3 years now .i peeled back the application film and the decals are almost a maroon color they don't match my srx decals I put on the hood now I have to order new decals?

    got one side decal on today I decided to use them they look different when on the sled .i might have had to many beers last night

    haha you no how it goes you put something on then u sit back and stair at it and drink a 6er.things don't look the same.how does it look so far.im debating on painting bulkhead black or going with metallic silver black with the skis and skid but polished slid rails any opinions.here are the wheels I'm working on .

    Good luck. I used an Exciter skid in my GPX, they are plentiful and many Yamaha parts interchange.

    I've got a few pieces, and may have a complete 77 skid available pretty soon.

    As was stated, '77 stuff is hard to come by.  I would put something else underneath as Yamakid stated, much less coin.

    I have lots of exciter skids I'm trying to get I lightened up any other skids you no of that are mostly all aluminum.

    I mean you're not going to find many lighter skids. I drilled one to Swiss cheese for grass racing and it held up alright, only bent the front arm a couple times. I used an Exciter skid and replaced all the idler wheels with light weight Wahl Bros aluminum ones. It got spendy real quick. If you don't want to go that route, replacing any and all bearings in the suspension and drive line is free horsepower per say.
