Yes, I was supposed to get Leroy's 70 motor up there. Never got up that way, or found a ride for it. Too much going on.

Anyone that can get it up there from Princeton? Not sure if I can get it ready by then, but not planning many road trips this fall. Too much "Homework" to get done before the show flies again.

Cool to find this thread! I was a kid in Bemidji when my dad was one of the volunteers working race a couple, maybe three years. I haven't looked all of this up yet but if I recall correctly, Bemidj was the halfway point and the racers stayed overnight there I think. I'll have to ask him some questions about it. I remember he had some cool patches on his snowmobile suits for it. Wish I had those patches!

Can anyone shed some light on this suit? I saw it at a second hand shop and noticed it had a 1975 Winnipeg to Saint Paul patch sewn on the right breast? It's a woman's suit, how many woman raced in the 75 race?

I have a 79 el tigre cross country that belonged to Larry Hesteness (Owner Hi-Ten Sports) in 1979 he was registered as number 55 in the I-500. Does anyone have pictures with him in them. Does anyone have results from the 79 race? Thank you
