Seems like I lose spark every once in a while on My 75 Johnson Rotary, yes with the goofy $%^ spark plug.  Could the plug be going bad or am I having a wiring issue?  and what could that possibly be.  Not the most savy when it comes to the electrical side of things so any help would be appreciated. It would be nice to have another of the goofy plugs so when it does lose spark I could pop it in and see what happens.

Thanks for the help,

T-Bone

Check the wires going to the stator and make sure they are not melted or getting melted by the hot exhaust. Then check your ground, make sure its clean and making a good connections.

Had the same problem with mine.

one of the coils on the stator was bad, I had all the testing info but have since passed it along to the new sled owner.

I replaced the stator as, trying to solder in a new coil is not my specalty.

These are prone to melting stators as they run so hot. There are a few experts on here that helped me with mine, i am sure they will chime in.
