The next one.......a custom rider based on a 73 Scorpion Super Stinger.  Engine is a Yamaha 300cc liquid single.  Its now mocked up in the sled and will be a clean installation.  Should make for a good late season rider with the bogeys and liquid cooling.

Open to suggestions on exhaust.  Thinking of using a Donaldson or Sachs pipe but not sure if this will turn the correct rpms with those.  Any ideas?

Also looking for suggestions on heat exchangers.  Is a single Indy running board exchanger enough?

Its good to be back working on sleds even if its 90 degrees outside.  ridethewind

Man that chassis sure looks familiar. I would say a Polartone exhaust that way you could use a core up where the headlight is for the cooling, problem solved  thmbs/ thmbs/ you have to admire Indy`s idea.....POLARTONE all the way  yip

I woke up in the middle of the night wondering, for some reason, "Did they ever make a liquid cooled single?" apparently they did!

yeah I never knew they existed either until this past winter when I had to look at the coolest little sled I ever saw.  Never seen a Yamaha Inviter in my life but a neat little sled with a liquid single.

Swede,
Cool  concept.  You are always thinking outside the box  thmbs/

Where does this engine run for RPM's?

Goose makes a pipe for the 292 Rotax, wonder if that might work?  Not sure how you would attach a muffler to it though.

I have a pair of 02 700 running board coolers if you think they would work.  I was told the coolers on my El Tigre came off of a Kawi, so you might look there also.

Good luck!

Ski Doo ss25 has a nice heat exchanger that goes up in the tunnel above the track. One hole for the inlet & one for the outlet. Ive got one ready for my next vintage muscle project!
