Well I spent some good quality shop time tonight, I started on the Kitty Kat, I gotta say this is the easiest sled ive ever worked on.  

Looks to be missing a tie rod to go to the other side-  Experts correct me on this


Looks like someone tried to fix the bulkhead


By the end of the evening I got her polished up

I need to clean the points on one of my 1972 Kitty Cats.  Can you tell me how I go about doing this?  Any special tools required?

Pull the recoil,  unbolt the flywheel nut unscrew it to the end of the shaft,  take a large screwdriver and place behind the flywheel and hit the nut with a hammer' the flywheel will pop right off,  then underneath there will be a black or grey cover with 2 phillips screws,  unscrew that,   then take your wifes nail file and run it thru the points a few dozen times itll clean it right up.
