keep in mind that when you put those 8'' drivers on, it will be a little harder to install the skid in the track

Got the bulkhead near the pillow block welded at a friend's last night.  Ended up taking about 3 hours and a 12 pk of beer.  I'm off to the powder coater and painter sometime next week to compare costs.

Thanks....I got slowed down a little bit....life is getting in the way of my restoration.  I wanted to be putting things back together by now, but with the kids activities and an issue with my 77 year old Mom (she went on a 1000 mile car ride, long story), life has taken over.  I'm not complaining, just letting you guys know why I am not progressing.  The sled had to wait over family.

SledHead........I know where the bar height is, you set it kind of high.

I expect the parts back in a week from the powder coater.  Things are slow going here.  I have 2 kids finishing up with soccer (which I coach) and most of my family has been hit with the flu.  I'll be lucky if she sees the snow this winter, but I will sure try.

Started cleaning up the slide rails....The "dirty" is the way they came off the sled.  The "Clean" has been hit with an SOS pad.  I then buffed it, but I don't have pictures of it buffed.  Looks way better than even the "Clean" picture.  It probably took me an hour to an hour and a half to SOS and buff just one rail.

Chaincase is looking pretty.  Chassis and other parts comes back from the powder coater on Wednesday (next week).  I'll polish the tunnel to look like this chaincase and re-assembly will start.
