Here ya go, I have been wanting to do a virtual ride for a couple years now and since I only can ride every couple years here they are!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxicqoAxvwY&feature=related

And another one-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxdwiR_25MQ&feature=channel

Camera mount was easy! 1/4 20 bolt, sawed the head off, a few jamb nuts and I was in. I wish I had bent it back a tad more to show the trail ahead more and less of the ski tips.

Nice videos Eric......hope you got in enough riding while up north.  Good idea on the camera mount - I need to try something like that!  One handed virtual rides can get a bit hairy.

Geez Eric.   Real nice rides there. Enjoyed meetin mom too. Thanx!!  Parents got a cordwood house and a cordwood garage! Earth sheltered too!  Bet they got a ton of old Mother Earth News stashed around there someplace. Kinda nice to know some of those hippies reallt did make it back to the land like they wanted. I dont know too many that did.

Especially when you're on the pipe with that new F/A, eh Swede!  Nice ride, do you have many turkeys around?  We're lousy with them out here.

I had a good time making those vids, I really enjoy riding around the place. Never went back there much as a kid even though we owned it then too. Dad has opened up a few roads to connect the deer trails and the maple trees. That earth bermed house was built in '87 after I had left home, the larger post and beam home across the road on the lake was sold as dad "didn't see the point in cutting all that firewood for just the two of them"

Covert- the turkeys? Had to have been at least a dozen down there, sign all over! In the first vid you only see a couple due to the helmet angle but they are all over, tons of deer and rabbits too.  That forty abuts another forty of the neighbors that is mostly slough and brush, then some high ground and hardwoods, and on the other side is 65 + acres with about 30 of it in corn. Tons of habitat.  I'll have 1/3 rd of it one day, but I hope that day does not come soon if you know what I mean. Dad's 79 and mom is 73.

Here's dad cutting some wood later that day-

I hauled it up a bit at a time in this mortor box, the only thing I could find to do it with and I could not find a good dogsled type utility sleigh at Waconia when I was there. The cam lense was fogged over in this shot. TO the right and in front of the ski doo is the rear entrance to the earth bermed place, to the left is the cabin we use when there is company as the house has only one bedroom.

Here's another plug for EricR's video skills, even though no snowmobiles were in this video.

http://s170.photobucket.com/albums/u248/EricR_bucket/Old%20tractor%20pics/?action=view&current=Picture025.flv

Time to start getting the summer stuff put away & pull the sleds out!
