Great weather, great sleds, great fun GREAT PEOPLE have made my first day of this Waconia weekend really great fun.
I was inside the ballroom all day – only got out once to get a pork chop on a stick, and to take a couple of photos. Everyone I saw was having a great time. The main show is tomorrow… with autograph signings from Arctic Cat dignitaries, a silent auction, and of course, tons of amazing old sleds. But as you can see from the photos below, the sleds just get more interesting every year.
Side note: One of my friends had a sled being dropped off at the show. He couldn’t be found, so I volunteered to take care of it for him. So I drove all the way home, and will drive all the way back tomorrow – with a pink snowmobile in the back of my truck. Yes, I covered my face when I saw other traffic, but otherwise, I am un-injured by the incident!
See you tomorrow – until then, here’s a teeny-tiny taste of the stunningly cool sleds at Waconia!

Back from the ashes and looking AMAZING is Bill Adam’s 1970 Fuel-injected Arctic Cat drag racer… I’m in love with this sled… and Bill and the crew at Arctic Restorations may have out done themselves with this one!
